How to Write a Useful Candle-Shop Caption with AI

It is a candle, not a spiritual awakening.

AI often turns a simple product into something that sounds like it requires a moon ceremony:

“Illuminate your journey with a moment of soulful serenity.”

The sentence sounds polished, but it does not tell a customer which candle is available, where to find it or what to do next.

Give AI a factual brief

For this clearly fictional candle-shop example, imagine that the business has confirmed these details:

Assume this fictional caption is being published on the Saturday of the market.

  • Cedar-and-orange candles are available at the business’s market stall that day.
  • The stall closes at 3 p.m.
  • Customers can smell a labelled tester before choosing.

Fictional caption:

“Cedar-and-orange candles are at our market stall today. Smell the tester and choose one before three.”

The revised caption identifies the product, sounds like a person and gives the customer a reasonable next step. The candle can smell pleasant without becoming a life coach.

Use this three-part edit

  1. Name the useful detail: Say what the customer can actually find or do.
  2. Remove inflated language: Replace abstract promises with words a customer understands immediately.
  3. Add one next step: Invite the customer to visit, ask, book or choose only when the business has confirmed that action is possible.

Reusable AI prompt

Copy and adapt this prompt:

Write one short social caption using only the confirmed business facts below. Name the product or update in plain language, include the most useful specific detail and end with one practical next step. Do not invent stock, scent notes, ingredients, prices, dates, opening hours, product performance, urgency or customer results. Flag any missing fact instead of guessing.

Candle facts to verify before publishing

  • The product name and scent description match the label.
  • The stated size, materials and ingredients are accurate.
  • The market location, date and closing time are current.
  • A tester is genuinely available if the caption mentions one.
  • Any burn-time, safety or performance claim is documented and approved by the business.

Plan the service behind the caption

The WRYKIND AI Service Starter Workbook contains 10 printable PDF pages for planning an AI-assisted social-caption service, including the offer, scope, pricing, sample work and a seven-day posting outline. It is CAD 12.99.

The workbook provides planning worksheets and prompts. It does not include software, client leads or guaranteed income.
