How to Write a Clear Repair-Shop Caption with AI

My zip is stuck. I don’t need a textile renaissance.

AI can turn a straightforward clothing-repair update into something that sounds like a museum exhibition:

“Restore your wardrobe through expert craftsmanship.”

Elegant, perhaps. Useful to the person holding a jacket that will not close? Not quite.

A practical small-business caption should answer the customer’s immediate questions: what can the shop check, when can the customer visit and what should they bring?

Start with confirmed business facts

For this clearly fictional repair-shop example, assume the business has confirmed the following details for the day the caption is published:

  • Customers may bring in jackets for zip assessments that day.
  • The shop closes at 5 p.m.
  • A technician will check whether the problem involves the slider or the full zip.
  • The assessment does not promise that every repair will be completed that day.

Fictional caption:

“Jacket zip stuck? Bring it in before five. We’ll check whether it needs a slider fix or a new zip.”

The second version gives the reader a specific service detail, uses language a person would actually say and ends with one clear next step.

Use the three-part caption edit

  1. Add the useful detail: Explain what the business can actually check or provide.
  2. Use human wording: Replace abstract phrases with words a customer can understand in one reading.
  3. Give one next step: Tell the customer what to bring, where to go or how to ask for the service only after the business has confirmed that action.

“Expert craftsmanship” may sound impressive, but “bring the jacket in before five” helps someone act.

Reusable AI prompt

Copy and adapt this prompt:

Write one short social caption using only the confirmed business facts below. Name the customer’s problem and the service in plain language. Include one useful specific detail and finish with one practical next step. Do not invent prices, availability, turnaround times, repair outcomes, warranties, urgency or customer results. Flag any missing fact instead of guessing.

Repair-shop facts to check before publishing

  • The service is actually available on the stated day.
  • The closing time and location are current.
  • The customer really can bring in the named item without an appointment, if the caption says so.
  • The caption distinguishes an assessment from a guaranteed same-day repair.
  • Any price, turnaround time, material or warranty statement has been confirmed by the business.

Plan the service behind the caption

The WRYKIND AI Service Starter Workbook contains 10 printable PDF pages for planning an AI-assisted social-caption service, including the offer, scope, pricing, sample work and a seven-day posting outline. It is CAD 12.99. The workbook provides planning worksheets and prompts. It does not include software, client leads or guaranteed income.
